The role of the teacher is not only to convey the knowledge to students but also to ensure that the lesson takes place vividly and students fully develop their learning ability to achieve a quality education. In a lesson in teaching methodology about the roles of the teacher, I and my students exchange and find out what roles a teacher has in teaching. The teacher works as a talented artist with a demand in many areas. First of all, the role of a comprehensible input provider requires the teacher to be professional in the subject matter. He also works as a prompter and a resource to help out students with ideas, lexical items and knowledge. In this field, the teacher is sometimes called a mobile encyclopedia. Secondly, teacher can be seen as a singer and an actor in teaching performance. Is teacher a singer? I think it is true. The speaker voice also brings positive effects to teaching. A good, clear, inspirational and strong voice will make the learners more attentive and interested in the lecture. Is teacher an actor? The good method with the good performance can get the best results in learning. The teacher is required to be good at designing teaching activities and skillfully implementing these techniques. This performance depicts the next roles of the teacher as an organizer and controller. These roles bring the class to life and students grasp knowledge in the higher level of understanding. Last but not least, the roles of "feedback provider" and “editor” help students recognise their mistakes and make suggestions for improvement. This work has more effect on achievement in learning process. It can be concluded that different roles of the teacher can be continuously transformed in one lesson and from this lesson to another in order to bring the highest teaching effectiveness. The fulfillment of the teaching roles can only be done by teachers’ dedication and commitment to the profession and true love for their students.
