From October 24th to 27th, 2023, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Thuỷ and Ms. Lê Thị Thiên Phước actively engaged in the annual Regional Training Course titled "Leadership and Management for Higher Education in a Global Context." This significant event was hosted by SEAMEO RETRAC at the Centre's premises located at 35 Le Thanh Ton, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Attended by leaders and administrators from higher educational institutions in Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam, this course served as a pivotal forum for knowledge exchange and skill enhancement.
The course structure revolved around four pivotal themes in Leadership and Management for higher education within a global context, each led by esteemed experts in the field:
- Innovation in Higher Education Leadership and Management in Global Context by Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong
- Staff Professional Development and Team Management by Dr. Do Thi Hoai Thu
- Leading Change and Crisis Management by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Luan
- Curriculum Design and Evaluation by Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Tha
Participating in this short training course proved to be a valuable opportunity for sharing thoughts, experiences, and invaluable knowledge, greatly impacting the mindset of IUH-FFL’s lecturers, and guiding how we should adapt to fit the new educational leadership landscape. The lecturers have gleaned essential skills related to effective leadership and adept management within the context of higher education. The annual training provided a rich environment where expertise was exchanged, fostering a collective advancement in the sphere of educational leadership and management.
