On September 8, 2018, Faculty of Foreign Languages- IUH successfully held a special event at Hall A4 which was aimed at welcoming our freshmen and creating chances for our sophomores to practice speaking English. The topic of this event was “Students’ life and Newbies’ shock”. Amazingly, there were far more than 250 students actively joining our English Club.

Together with FFL’s teachers and group leaders from DHAV11 who were mainly responsible for the event, there were two foreign guests from the U.S, Dr. Gene and Mr. James and four German students who enthusiastically joined and shared valuable stories with students.

Within two hours and a half, students had excellent chances to make new friends, to have fun with the songs, to take part in the entertaining games and interesting discussions. The participants all reckoned that the English Club was so meaningful, exhilarating and good fun. They also showed their appreciation that the event really motivated them to learn English and be more confident.

We strongly believe that students always get much more than they could expect when taking part in our English Club.
